For one year I attended Oregon State University's Post Bacc Computer Science Program. This program is geared for those students who already have a bachelors degree and want to enhance their skill set with a second bachelors degree in Computer Science. While studying under this program I realized I wanted to focus my studies on Geographic Information Science and thus transferred to Saint Mary's University to persue that path.

As a natural resources major, I studied the science and management of resources such as amenity uses, fish and wildlife, forests, range and water. I specialized in the area of fish and wildlife conservation. I especially enjoyed studying range management to effectively manage range areas for large domestic animals or game herds.

Configured, built, deployed, and maintained geospatial web applications on mobile and desktop platforms using JavaScript, CSS, JSON, and HTML. Composed Python scripts to extract, transform, and load data into databases. Generates, updates, and publishes data to the Minnesota Geospatial Commons and DNR’s QuickLayers. Prepared educational materials and led instruction of Python to external and external students. Other project tasks included: database administration and design, implementing and maintaining map services, creation of custom ESRI toolbox tools and add-ins, and deployment and use of GPS field data applications for Collector for ArcGIS and Survey 123.
